Maharajji is reported to have sat here on the edge of the village of Neeb Karori, in Uttar Pradesh, as a
sadhu for approximately 20 years until 1938.
The Hanuman temple here is the mandir of Hanumanji murti as made by Maharajji with His own hands.
The ashram/cave area is less than half kilometer from Lakshmandas Puri railway station where Maharajji performed the very famous lila with the train.

This Hanuman rises forty feet above the passing motorists so that everyone who enter Rishikesh from Haridwar can have the darshan of Sri Hanuman-ji.

More than 100 years ago, after leaving His home when He was quite young, Maharajji went to the village of Vavania where there was a Vaishnav saint and stayed there for 6-7 years.
Maharajji practiced austerities, sadhana, and yoga here. This ashram has a pond where Maharajji sat and where He kept away from the world. Because of this, Maharajji was known as ‘Talaiya Baba’ then.
It was in Vrindaban that Maharajji chose to leave His body in 1973. The Neeb Karori Baba Vrindavan Ashram is located in Krishna’s holy city of Vrindaban on the plains of Uttar Pradesh. The first temple was inaugurated in 1967. This ashram is on Parikrama Marg a short ways from Mathura Road.
Within this ashram is the Mahasamadhi Mandir of Neem Karoli Baba / Neeb Karori Baba. This is the site of Maharajji's Mahasamadhi Bhandara in September each year. In this ashram are Hanumanji Temple, Durga Devi Temple, Sita Ram Temple, Shivaji Yugshala Temple, and Maharajji's Mahasamadhi Temple.
