I bow to the lotus feet of my guru, who is an ocean of mercy and is Sri Hari in human form
Whose words are sunbeams for dispersing the mass of darkness of gross ignorance
I greet the pollen-like dust of the lotus feet of my guru,
refulgent, fragrent, and flavored with love |
Since I am devoid of faith and devotion and I am the one with the most impure mind,
I am pitiable in all respects so I offer this prayer to you.
Jai jai Neem Karoli Baba, please give me your grace and true feelings.

Gu-rur - brah-ma gu-rur - vish-nu, Gu-rur de-ve ma-hesh-wa-rah,
Gu-rur - shak-shat pa-ram brah-ma, Tas-mai sri-gu-ru-ve na-mah |
Every arduous task in this world becomes easy by your grace.
You are the guardian of Ram's door, none enters without your leave.
Taking refuge in you one finds all delight, those you protect know no fear. |
When you were a child, you swallowed the sun,
plunging the three into darkness and terrifying the whole universe.
No one could free the world of this calamity, so the Gods came and prayed to you.
Then you set the sun free.
Who in this world doesn't know, Oh Monkey, that your name is the "Reliever of Suffering?" |
Hail Master, Lord of the Universe Who removes in a moment the troubles
Of devotees and the sufferings Of the poor One who meditates on You gets the fruit
Sorrow is removed from mind and heart Happiness and wealth come to the home
Pain is wiped away from the body |
Neither do I know chants nor do I know methods, nor do I know how to make prayer. I don't know how to invoke you nor how to meditate, I have no knowledge of any songs. I don't know any signs (mudras) and I don't know the method of imploring deep pleading. But I know one thing for sure, if I follow you (within the folds of your love) I will be released from all my troubles. |

I bow, I bow, to the Mother who takes away all pain
Your light illuminates all darkness,
your brightness extends over the three worlds
