Lucknow Hanuman Temple

Neeb Karori Baba MaharajjiBabaji got a Hanuman temple built in no time, near Shahanshah Kothi, on the bank of the river Gomti against the wish of the then Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. The construction of a temple here was only a back-ground for his lila, according to which a magnificent temple had to be built opposite the University, where the devotees of Hanuman would come in large numbers and get their wishes fulfilled and it would also become famous in the world. A hut was also built for Babaji at the back of the temple.

When Gomti was flooded, the Uttar Pradesh government insisted that the temple be moved so that there may not be any obstacle to control the flood. Because of the temple, the flood- water caused danger to the government buildings on the other side. Babaji sent a word that "the temple will not be moved away. Gomti may carry it away if it so wishes".

Gomti carried away Babaji's hut, but Hanumanji and his temple remained firm on the ground and they are still there though the river inundated 2 or 3 times since then. The old bridge on river Gomti had worn out and the construction of a new bridge over the river began.

Then the government of U.P. offered a piece of land on road by the bridge and a sum of Rs. 25000/- for the construction of a new temple.

Hanuman Temple at Panaki, Kanpur

Neeb Karori Baba MaharajjiMaharajji wanted that along with the installation of Hanumanji in Panaki temple at Kanpur, a grand bhandara be arranged so that a large number of devotees may partake prasad.

But the management arranged food for a limited number of devotees. But it was Maharaji's lila.

According to the organizers, without anyone knowing the things in the bhandara increased so much (even the vegetable oil changed to pure ghee) that after thousands of people had taken prasad, the unused edibles were left in large quantity and the bhandara continued for two days more.

This was not a bhandara of the management and organizers, but was run by Babaji's will power.

Babaji did not attend the installation ceremony and had shut himself in a room in Allahabad instead, but many eye- witnesses say that he was seen near the temple supervising the arrangements; he even talked to many devotees.

Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple in Shimla

Neeb Karori Baba MaharajjiMaharajji's desire to establish Hanumanji Temple when and where, none could even guess.

Once, in the fifth decade Babaji went to Shimla and stayed in a hut at Taradevi, at a distance of about 6-7 km from Shimla, for about 9-10 days. Hanumanji (in the mind of Maharajji) was so much delighted with the beauty of that place that he liked to stay there.

Therefore, in the sixth decade, the then Lt. Governor, late Raja Bhadri and a devotee Shri Bhagvan Sahai acquired a piece of land and got a Hanuman temple built there.

How could Hanumanji live alone! So, mainly, Shri Rama, Sita, Laxmana and by their side Shankarji were installed. By Babaji's grace this Hanuman temple at Shimla has gained so much recognition that various celebrations are organized every now and then and not only the devotees but the tourists also enthusiastically participate in them. Especially on Ramnavmi, the foundation day of the temple, thousands of devotees have prasad in bhandara. Now the bhandara is held on every Sunday.

Hanuman Temple at Rishikesh

Neeb Karori Baba MaharajjiThus many years ago, Babaji took a big piece of land on lease from the Forest Department, Rishikesh for the construction of Hanuman temple. It is located on Rishikesh Haridwar road at a place named Veerbhadra, at a distance of 6 km from Rishikesh.

This piece of land remained vacant under the care of a certain man for many years. Babaji left his physical body in 1973. He had always done lila in his bodily form, but his psychic resolves are being made good even now.

Shri Siddhi Ma caused a stir by raising the issue about this place in 1984. Consequently the land was legally occupied and his devotees got built a magnificent Hanuman temple. A grand bhandara is held here every year on Hanuman Jayanti (Chaitra-Poonima). In the beginning Hanuman temple was small and Babaji was not satisfied with it. Hence, a huge and magnificent temple was erected for Hanumanji within three or four years. It was inaugurated on Shri Hanuman Jayanti 1993 with grand celebrations and a large gathering had prasad in bhandara as always.

Long ago Babaji had told Shri Siddhi Ma that he would set up a 27 ft. high Hanuman murti at this place in Rishikesh so that the passers-by may have his darshan from outside. Therefore, by inspiration of Shri Siddhi Ma, a devotee from Madras (Chennai) fulfilled Babaji's wish. Soon a 27 ft murti of Hanumanji under a five feet high umbrella was installed on a 9 ft. high platform. A yajna was performed and it was consecrated in a grand function on Hanurnan Jayanti 1993.

Hanuman Temple in New Mexico

Neeb Karori Baba MaharajjiMaharajji wanted to oblige his American devotees also by giving them an opportunity to have Hanumanji's darshan and to adore him.

So he inspired Dr. Richard Alpert (whom Babaji had transformed into Ram Dass and who had written a book Miracle of Love on Maharajji) for it and got sculptured such murti of Hanuman as has been portrayed in Sunderkand as "putting Ram's ring in his mouth, crossed the ocean flying over it".

Sharda Prasad, a famous sculptor of Jaipur, inspired by Him sculptured such a murti. When this murti weighing about 3400 kilos reached America, the devotees were not unanimous in their choice of a place for its installation.

So, an American devotee, Vishnu (Vishu Magee), who was against idol-worship, kept it in a room at the back of his house in Taos, New Mexico. It was later transferred to a store-room.
